New Cricket Stadium in Pokhara Receives International Recognition

The newly constructed cricket stadium in Pokhara has received international recognition from the International Cricket Council (ICC), making it eligible to host international matches. This is a significant milestone for cricket infrastructure development in Nepal.
The stadium, which has a seating capacity of 15,000 spectators, features state-of-the-art facilities including floodlights, modern dressing rooms, media centers, and practice facilities. The pitch and outfield have been prepared to international standards.
"This recognition is a testament to the quality of infrastructure we have built," said the Sports Minister. "The stadium will not only host international matches but also serve as a training ground for our national teams and help promote cricket in the western region of Nepal."
The stadium is expected to host its first international match next month when Nepal takes on Scotland in a T20I series. The venue will also be used for domestic tournaments and youth development programs.
Cricket enthusiasts in Pokhara and surrounding areas are thrilled about the development, as it will bring international cricket closer to home and inspire more young people to take up the sport.
